Jay Burns, BSc Hons (he/him)
Jay graduated from Queen's with a major in Psychology and minor in Statistics. In the EMBody Lab, he wrote an Honours Thesis on effects of maternal psychopathology on preschoolers' cardiovascular responses to reward. Before joining the EMBody Lab, Jay worked as a lab coordinator for the van Anders Lab and published a review paper on hormone therapy and trans sexuality. He is interested in how early adverse experiences and bio-sensitivity affect neurodevelopment and socioemotional functioning. Outside of research, he enjoys walking his dog, reading, and knitting.
